A Guide on How to Prepare Your Certificates for Kuwait

The Kuwaiti embassy follows a very strict standards for documents verification but the process is straightforward and once you produce all the documents properly it just takes a matter of couple of days to get it all verified and stamped. So if your Kuwait travel is round the corner then here’s a guide to walk you through the attestation steps.
What are the different types of documents to be attested for?

There are three different categories of documents are verified and stamped when you are opting for certificate attestation for Kuwait by the MEA and Kuwait Embassy of India. They are

· Educational documents
· Non educational documents
· Commercial documents

What are the steps for getting documents attested?


There are two different processes to get it done

· Go and submit your documents to the state level attestation department
· Once the documents are verified the ministry of external affairs will attest the documents
· And finally the Kuwait Embassy of India placed in New Delhi will do the final certificate attestation

For process 2

· You can go to the home department of Mumbai for getting your certificate attestation done at first.
· The ministry of external affairs will complete the remaining process.
· Finally the Certificate will be forwarded to the Kuwait embassy

Normally the entire process takes around 1 week to complete. The Kuwait Embassy takes normally 3 days to complete the process of certification however in case you can pay urgent fees fast track results.

Note that along with the certificates to be attested you need to produce the original certificates and a photocopy of your passport as well.
Don’t forget to get an attestation from notary before you produce the documents to Kuwait Embassy

B. Non educational certificates

This includes various documents like death certificates, marriage certificate, experience certificate or Birth Certificate Attestation which can be down in two different processes

Process 1

· Send your documents to the state level attestation department
· Next you documents will be forwarded to the ministry of external affairs for attestation
· Finally the Kuwait Embassy will do the certification

Process 2

· Go to the home department of Mumbai for initial attestation
· Complete the process by attestation and verification from ministry of external affairs
· Finally finish the certification from Kuwait Embassy of New Delhi

All requirements and procedure remaining same as that of educational documents

C. Commercial documents

· First go to the chamber of commerce and do the initial attestation and verification
· Next your documents will reach Ministry of External Affairs for certification attestation of Kuwait
· The last the certificate attestation will be done by the Kuwait embassy

This entire process takes some what more time than regular documents. It takes around 1 to 2 weeks. The normal time for Kuwait Embassy attestation is 3 days however if you pay urgent fees quicker results is possible.

All other requirements are same as above. Just get your documents arranged correctly along with all originals, copy of your passport and other citizenship proofs and get your documents ready in a matter of days
